Client Survey Highlights Strengths, Differences of MN Wealth Team

Client Survey Highlights Strengths, Differences of MN Wealth Team

We feel so incredibly lucky to help so many clients live their best lives — from business owners who need help managing their financial and investment matters to investors looking for access to alternative and private equity funds to individuals looking ahead to a more secure retirement. And there’s nothing better than watching our clients succeed — personally, professionally and financially.

Yet, we also know our success comes from always listening to our clients — not only to hear about your financial and investment goals but also to hear your feedback. So, as 2024 was coming to a close, we asked you to tell us how we’re doing. Our 30-question survey solicited your opinions on everything from our communication skills and availability to the objectiveness of our financial advice, and so much more.

The results and your honest feedback were both illuminating and a pleasure to read. We wanted to share a few highlights from the survey to not only better explain our philosophy on serving clients but also offer some insight from current clients and two of our partners.

Question #12: Your financial professional is available if you need to contact him or her.

Composite score: 4.95 (out of 5)

We were so grateful to receive such positive feedback on this one, especially because we know how important it is to access the help you need when you need it. Mark Comfort, co-owner of Cruise Holidays of Kansas City, has worked with MN Wealth Advisors for the last five years and recently commented about our availability:

“That responsiveness is really important to us because usually when we contact Matt, we have time to talk to him right now. We don’t know what an hour later will be like or tomorrow — or we do know what it will be like, and we have time now. So, that responsiveness is really important.”

Question #13: Your financial professional sincerely cares about fulfilling your goals regarding your financial well-being.

Composite score: 4.93 (out of 5)

You’re never just a number with us. The whole MN Wealth team sees your goals as our own, and we always prioritize relationships over everything. Matt and Tony further elaborate on this survey question:

Matt Ahrens, Partner, Chief Investment Officer: “Whether it was an unforeseen accident, a market event that led to a drop in retirement assets, or maybe a health situation with a loved one, finances can be a lot. No matter where you are on this journey, you’re not alone. We know your path will change because it always does. Life will throw new challenges and new blessings your way, and we’ll adjust as these changes occur. Our goal is to always have a plan, and together we take steps toward fulfilling these ever-changing goals and dreams.”

Tony Moeller, Partner, Senior Advisor, Chief Compliance Officer: “In life you go through various stages: As a college grad, you may start out in a small apartment. After several years of saving, you may move up to a small two-to-three-bedroom home. In the years ahead, when you’re married with three kids, you may move to a four-bedroom home on a nice-sized lot. Once the kids graduate and move out, you may downsize to a maintenance-provided ranch-style villa. Our priority is to make sure we’re making recommendations and creating investment strategies and retirement plans that adjust with your stages in life while keeping your financial well-being our top priority.”

Question #14: Your financial professional makes a concerted effort to customize your financial plan to your needs and risk tolerance.

Composite score: 4.95 (out of 5)

A one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for your financial matters. After all, your life experiences are unique, and your investment and retirement plans should be as well. Our team works to customize every plan to meet your specific needs and goals.

Tony: “A tailor wouldn’t try to fit an NFL lineman into a men’s off-the-rack medium shirt. The same can be said for your financial plan: A great growth-oriented investment strategy, for example, may work well for a young professional who isn’t fazed by market fluctuations and bear markets. However, a more conservative investor may panic at the first sign of market volatility and cash out. They may be so shell-shocked by the experience, they resolve to only invest in safer investment vehicles, such as CDs or U.S. Treasuries. Yet, this then results in below-average returns, which means they’re not able to meet their long-term financial goals. Just like a custom suit can make you look like a million dollars, a customized financial plan can help you stay in the game long-term, meet your goals and objectives, while allowing you to sleep at night.”

Question #20: The statements and performance reports from our firm are professional, well-organized and easily understood.

Composite score: 4.83 (out of 5)

Our advice and insights are only useful if they work how you need them to. So, when one of our clients needed financial reports presented and formatted in a very specific way – instead of the format we typically use – Matt learned how to change the software system to create a report that would do what the client needed. Mimi Comfort, co-owner of Cruise Holidays of Kansas City, appreciated the extra effort:

“It’s been fantastic. It’s been exactly what I wanted to see. I mean, who does that? Who goes above and beyond to create a report that wasn’t just some five-minute report? What I wanted was complicated, but they gladly did it. And I can see now what I wanted to see on a quarterly basis.”

Question #10: You're likely to recommend us to others.

Composite score: 4.93 (out of 5)

This question is really the ultimate measure of how we’re doing. After all, if we haven’t earned your trust, you would never refer us to a friend or family member.

Matt: “We’re relational, not transactional. We tell others all the time that we treat our clients like family, and we really do want you to feel that way. As such, you know how it feels when you find a top-notch contractor, mechanic, doctor or tax professional. It is extremely satisfying and reassuring to know that professional has your best interest at heart. We know that building this trust takes time, and we are extremely grateful you have both put your trust in us and are willing to share that trust with others.”

We want to say thank you to everyone who completed our end-of-year survey. But we always want to hear your feedback, so please let us know how we can serve you better in 2025!
